DESCRIPTION:
Medstock Silicone Foam with Border is a 5-layered foam dressing that is both highly absorbent and gentle on fragile wound tissue. Its silicone adhesive skin contact layer provides secure adhesion whilst reducing the risk of epidermal stripping on removal.
Key Functions and Features:
- Waterproof
- Features a perforated silicone skin contact layer for gentle adhesion and atraumatic removal
- High absorbency for efficient exudate management
- Retains exudate away from wound
- Seals wound edges to reduce the risk of lateral exudate leakage causing maceration
- May assist in protecting against extrinsic forces such as pressure, shearing, and friction
- Soft, elastic, and comfortable on the skin
- Protective barrier against water and bacteria
