DESCRIPTION

  • Wundline Soaka Silicone Dressing is a gentle, multisite silicone foam dressing with a five-layer construction.
  • The super absorbent fiber (SAF) and foam layers work together to effectively absorbs exudate away from the wound while still maintaining a moist healing environment, making it an
  • ideal choice for moderate to highly exudating wounds. Soaka comes in a range of sizes, ideal for use on awkward areas such as the sacrum, heel, or curved contours of the body.
  • The top layer is coated with a polyurethane film, making it water-repellent, while the silicone contact layer is repositionable, making it particularly suitable for patients with sensitive or fragile skin.
  • Highly conformable and available in a variety of sizes.

INDICATIONS

  • Moderate to heavy exudating wounds: Pressure injuries, venous leg ulcers, and diabetic foot ulcers.
  • Awkward areas: Areas such as the sacrum, heel or curved body contours.
  • Surgical wounds: Including post-operative incisions and donor sites.
  • Traumatic wounds: Skin tears, abrasions, and minor burns.
  • Fragile or sensitive skin: Silicone minimises trauma during dressing changes.
  • Prevention of pressure injuries: Used as part of a pressure injury prevention protocol on intact skin.
